Leading Light Behavioral Health has opened a new facility located at 19 Riverside Avenue in Brockton’s Campello Neighborhood. We were joined by Mayor of Brockton Bob Sullivan, Senator Walter Timilty, and Senator Mike Brady’s Office as we gathered to welcome this much needed service to the community. Services offered at LLBH include cognitive behavioral therapy, counseling for anxiety, trauma, depression, substance use and addiction, and grief and bereavement; as well as couples counseling, EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), medication management, telehealth, workshops, and support groups.

LLBH’s mission is the empower and contribute to people improving their mental wellbeing. Identifying as a teaching practice signifies the organization’s commitment to education, mentorship, and professional development within the mental health field, providing a robust learning environment for students, interns, and trainees.

Guan Ellerbe, owner of LLBH has come to understand the importance of maintaining healthy relationships while building and enhancing insight into innate skills that clients already possess. Guan is an expert in working with individuals, couples, and trauma survivors.

In 2017, Guan started Leading Light Behavioral Health, Inc. to focus on building therapeutic partnerships with clients (couples, families, friends, and individuals); by offering an opportunity to step outside of the conventional environment, which can influence unhealthy development and negative behavior.

Guan has worked in the human and social services profession for over 20 years. She has developed her skills while working as a Social Worker for the Department of Children and Families, a Substance abuse clinician and group facilitator with Highpoint Treatment Center, an Outpatient clinician, and a child and family therapist with a multitude of agencies within Massachusetts.

Guan is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Adjunct Professor for an Adult Graduate Program focusing on Marriage and Family Therapy, as well as a Leadership Psychology PsyD candidate. Guan holds a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts, and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. She is also the author of the Inspire the Aspired product line.
