In April, the chamber hosted an education & legislative focused luncheon featuring Mass Taxpayers Foundation President, Doug Howgate and New Heights Charter School Executive Director, Omari Walker, who sponsored the event.

Interviewed by chamber board member Sue Joss, Brockton Neighborhood Health Center, Omari Walker told the impressive story of New Heights Charter School (located at 1690 Main Street in Brockton) where over 50% of seniors are on track to graduate with an associates degree in addition to their high school diplomas.

MTF President, Howgate, gave an overview of the Affordable Homes Act, state fiscal & budget analysis, and a snapshot of demographic trends in Metro South. Slides from this presentation are available here.
