The Metro South Chamber of Commerce proudly joined the community in early December to celebrate the ribbon cutting for Verizon Wireless Zone Bridgewater at 233 Broad Street, Unit 20 in Bridgewater’s Roche Bros Plaza. Chamber members, local leaders, business partners, and supporters gathered to welcome this exciting new addition to the region. With a proven legacy in wireless retail and deep community ties, the new store represents the continued growth of a trusted Verizon Authorized Retailer in Metro South. Wireless Zone is known for offering Verizon’s industry‑leading products and services, coupled with expert, locally focused customer care.
Owned and operated by Ray Luong, Mike Shaw, and Lenny DeLeon, this location marks the group’s ninth Verizon Wireless Zone store – a testament to their business acumen and commitment to serving local customers. With 28 years of combined franchise ownership experience, this ownership team brings deep retail expertise and a customer‑first mindset to Bridgewater. Leading the store’s day‑to‑day operations is Store Manager David Truong, who welcomed guests and shared insights about the products and services available to members of the community.
Elected officials joined the festivities to show support for small business growth in Bridgewater and across Metro South, including Mark Linde, Bridgewater Town Council; Mary McGrath, Town Council Vice President; Justin Casanova‑Davis, Town Manager; Kajelyn Beardsley, Executive Assistant; and State Representative Dennis Gallagher. Their presence highlighted the important role that small businesses play in local economic development and community connection.
A strong turnout from the Chamber community reinforced the collaborative spirit among Metro South businesses. Chamber Ambassadors and partners included Joanne Schneider of Eastern Bank, Antonio Barros of North Easton Savings Bank, Armindo Rocha of Old Colony Elder Services (OCES), Reiko McNeil of Bluestone Bank, and Steve Damon of Jack Conway Realty. Their participation underscored the network of support that helps new and expanding businesses thrive in the region.
Attendees had the opportunity to tour the Bridgewater store, learn about the latest Verizon technologies and solutions, and connect with community leaders and fellow business owners. From smartphones and accessories to tailored wireless plans, Verizon Wireless Zone Bridgewater is well‑positioned to meet the local demand for connectivity and service excellence.
