The exhibition A Shared Legacy: Gifts from the Robyn and John Horn Collection celebrates a transformative donation to Fuller Craft Museum’s permanent collection by collectors Robyn and John Horn. The important gift of 32 objects includes many significant examples of American craft by prominent artists such as Stephen De Staebler, Hoss Haley, Robyn Horn, Mary Giles, Harvey Littleton, Albert Paley, and more. Many craft media are represented in the grouping, including wood, metals, ceramic, basketry, glass, and stone.
Robyn and John Horn began collecting in the 1980s. Throughout the development of their collection, they carefully selected artists dedicated to their chosen material, ones that remained passionate about creating work with exceptional technical skill and an innovative approach to making. Today, their collection remains one of the country’s finest in American craft.
Fuller Craft Museum is honored to partner with the Horns on this important gift and commemorative exhibition, knowing the partnership will sustain the legacy of craft for many years to come.
