Dreaming of opening your own restaurant but unsure where to start? The Restaurant Startup Masterclass is designed to introduce aspiring restaurateurs to the fundamentals of launching and managing a successful food business in Brockton.
Led by hospitality expert Nelson Fernandes—co-founder of the nationally recognized JJ’s Caffe—this intensive five-session course will provide essential insights into:
- Concept Development – Refining your restaurant idea, identifying your target market, and crafting a unique value proposition.
- Business & Financial Planning – Creating a business plan, understanding startup costs, securing funding, and managing restaurant finances.
- Marketing – Building your brand, leveraging digital marketing, and developing strategies to attract and retain customers.
- Operations & Launch Strategy – Navigating health regulations, hiring and training staff, optimizing workflows, and preparing for a successful launch.
- Menu Development – Designing a profitable menu, sourcing ingredients, and balancing creativity with operational efficiency.
The final session of the course will feature a live panel discussion with successful restaurateurs offering real-world insights on overcoming challenges and thriving in the industry.
Participants will also have the opportunity to pitch their restaurant concepts in a Shark Tank-style session receiving valuable feedback and a chance to win seed funding to take their concept to the next level.
Beyond the course, graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion, gain exclusive coaching and mentorship opportunities, and access to restaurant startup resources and templates.
