About the Speakers

Greta Teller is a social impact consultant and community builder who works at the intersection of sport, equity, and partnership. She currently serves as the Director of Community Celebrations for Boston 2026, where she leads the development of community-centered celebration experiences tied to this summer’s World Cup.
In this role, she works closely with cities, neighborhoods, and regional partners interested in hosting Community Celebrations, helping determine the appropriate level of engagement and support for each community. She assists in shaping the delivery models, collaborating with cross-sector partners to ensure alignment, accessibility, and long-term community impact to ensure celebration programming is both operationally sound and legacy-driven. Moises M. Rodrigues is a respected community leader in Brockton, with over 25 years of experience in public administration, social services, and local activism. He has served as Communications Director for the City of Brockton and was the city’s first Black Interim Mayor during a time of emergency transition.
A Cape Verdean immigrant and United States Navy veteran (1983–1989), Moises holds a degree in Human Services and Community Relations from the University of Massachusetts and was elected as a Member of the National Parliament of Cape Verde in 2001.
In 2013, he became the first Cape Verdean elected to the Brockton City Council. Recently, he served as City Councilor-at-Large in Brockton and as Executive Director of the Cape Verdean Association of Brockton. He has also sat on key community boards including Old Colony YMCA and St. Edith Stein.
With a deep commitment to education, public safety, and social justice, Moises believes in a united, safe Brockton with opportunities for everyone.
