The Metro South Chamber rang in the holiday season with our festive December Holiday Luncheon, proudly sponsored by Cambridge Savings Bank at the Fuller Craft Museum. The event, emceed by Chamber Board Chair, Dan Evans of EMI, featured engaging interviews with key figures including Jack Ferren, VP and Senior Small Business Relationship Manager at Cambridge Savings Bank, and Fuller Craft Museum CEO Jennifer Chrzanowski, conducted by Maria Celli of Brockton Neighborhood Health Center.
Guest speaker Dr. Mark Melnik, Director of Economic & Public Policy Research at UMass Donahue Institute, shared a data-driven look at the Massachusetts economy, highlighting slow growth, labor market stabilization, high costs of living, and demographic challenges shaping the year ahead. His insights offered attendees a valuable perspective on regional economic trends and opportunities for business and community leaders. (Melnik slides available here)
Holiday networking was facilitated by Rob Peters, author of The Small Business CEO’s Playbook, giving attendees the chance to connect and celebrate. Santa Claus also made a special appearance, joining guests for photos and exploring locally made treasures at the Museum’s Holiday Handmade Market. The luncheon brought together business leaders, community partners, and friends of the Chamber for a festive afternoon of connection, inspiration, and holiday cheer.
The Metro South Chamber extends sincere thanks to Cambridge Savings Bank for their generous sponsorship and commitment to supporting the regional business community, as well as to the Fuller Craft Museum for providing a truly memorable setting. Events like the December Holiday Luncheon reflect the Chamber’s vital role in convening leaders, sharing timely economic insight, and strengthening relationships across Metro South.
