May 15, 2026 – The Metro South Chamber recently joined entrepreneur and author Widline Pyrame for a ribbon cutting celebrating the opening of Fusion Essence, her new lifestyle store at South Shore Plaza. Chamber Ambassadors were joined by State Senator Bill Driscoll, Denver Gibbs of the Braintree Chamber of Commerce, and Katherine Rowling, Town of Braintree Economic Development Director to celebrate this exciting milestone.
Many in the Metro South business community know Widline as the founder of Fusion Dolls, a company created from a deeply personal mission. Born in Haiti, Widline has often shared how meaningful it was to receive her first Black doll as a child after years of not seeing herself represented in the toys around her. That experience inspired her to create dolls that help children see themselves reflected, build confidence, and embrace self-love.
What started as a small kiosk inside Brockton’s Westgate Mall eventually grew into a successful business and earned Widline recognition as the Metro South Chamber’s 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year. Today, she is expanding that vision through Fusion Essence, a store offering dolls and doll accessories alongside clothing, home décor, fragrances, gifts, and custom products sourced from Ghana and Haiti.
The ribbon cutting celebrated not only the opening of a new store, but also the continued growth of an entrepreneur whose work has always been centered on representation, culture, and community. As Fusion Essence begins this new chapter, it carries forward the same mission that inspired Fusion Dolls from the very beginning: helping people feel seen, valued, and proud of who they are.
