May 5, 2026 – The Metro South Chamber of Commerce joined community leaders, hospitality representatives, and project partners to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the new Tru by Hilton at Westgate Mall in Brockton.
The event marked an important milestone for the ongoing revitalization and growth of the Westgate corridor. Developed by KARM Hospitality, the new hotel represented an $11 million investment in Brockton and brought a modern, 78-room lodging option to the city for both business and leisure travelers visiting the South Shore region.
Located on Westgate Drive near Route 24, the hotel strengthens Brockton’s position as a regional hub for commerce, hospitality, and tourism. Guests visiting the area now have even more convenient access to destinations including D.W. Field Park, Brockton Rox games at Campanelli Stadium, as well as shopping and dining throughout the Westgate area.
Mahavir Patel from KARM Hospitality shared that Brockton was selected for the project because of the city’s momentum, accessibility, and continued economic development across the Metro South region.
Local officials including State Representative Rita Mendes, Mayor of Brockton Moises Rodrigues, and City Councilor Shirley Asack, gathered alongside Chamber members and business leaders to officially welcome the hotel to the community and celebrate the continued investment and new energy being brought to Westgate Mall and the surrounding area.
The ribbon cutting served as both a celebration of a new business opening and a reflection of the ongoing growth taking place throughout Brockton’s commercial corridors.
